February 7, 2023

At CIRE, we practice a modern leadership approach where the inclusivity of people and diversity of thought, experience, and background are highly valued. This approach advances new ideas and fosters our entrepreneurial culture, creating opportunities and successful outcomes for our firm and our investors, partners, tenants, and employees.

Why? Because we know our people are our greatest asset. We believe that building a diverse and inclusive culture is key to creating a boundless and innovative culture and community that is essential to our continued success. We want our employees to be successful and are dedicated to enhancing employee well-being and the communities around them.

And through our I.D.E.A.S. team, we strive to provide an inclusive environment where differences are valued, embraced, and celebrated so that everyone can reach their full potential.

Our corporate-wide focus includes initiatives such as:

  • We focus our hiring process by evaluating and weighing cultural fit and soft skills just as heavily as we evaluate hard, technological skills which opens candidate opportunities in underrepresented groups in the finance sector.
  • We focus our hiring process by evaluating and weighing cultural fit and soft skills just as heavily as we evaluate hard, technological skills which opens candidate opportunities in underrepresented groups in the finance sector.
  • The entire team puts significant effort toward supporting one another’s personal and professional growth by creating a work environment that fosters flexibility and high performance.

While we provide great benefits, growth, and learning opportunities, we believe one significant driver of our culture is being true to our core values, which promotes a transparent, caring, and engaged culture where psychological safety is engrained in our operations and where everyone has a voice and feels like they are heard, which cultivates a “win together” mindset.

How do our management ideas set us apart?

  • Professional development: Managers meet weekly with staff to discuss individual needs. We also provide 1:1 sessions with a career coach and utilize several assessments, DISC, 360 reviews, and BlueEQ, providing greater awareness of personal behaviors.
  • Transparency: We embody openness and access to learning opportunities for all employees.
  • Safety: We provide psychological safety training to create an environment that encourages employees to bring their ideas to the table.
  • Community: This is at the core of how we show up daily in our endless pursuit of building relationships through genuine interactions by placing significant value on fostering and facilitating teamwork and solid communication.

Other statistics that set up apart include:

  • Over 50% of our staff is BIPOC,
  • Over 60% of our staff is made of women,
  • We have 50:50 executive leadership of men and women representation,
  • And three members of our executive team are DEI Mastery Certified.
